Accounting and Finance BSc (Hons) – 3 years
Our Accounting and Finance BSc programme is accredited by the ACCA
What will you study?
Get ready for a successful career in accountancy, finance, industry or government. Many of our graduates become accountants, auditors, tax specialists, financial analysts, fund managers, traders, brokers and investment researchers. When you graduate, you’ll be eligible to apply for exemptions from the professional accounting bodies. Our Dubai programme is ACCA accredited.
During the Accounting and Finance programme, you’ll study Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Business Law and Corporate Finance.
In Year 2, you can also choose an exchange semester or year on our Birmingham campus in the UK (subject to academic attainment). Then in Year 3, we have an optional module where you can take a short-term internship.
Our programme will give you a good technical knowledge of accounting and finance, along with a wider understanding of business issues within a global, legal and social context. Here in Dubai, you can also claim exemptions from professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW. After graduating, you can complete professional qualifications or study a Masters with the University of Birmingham.

Business Management with Economics BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
On this course, you’ll study on the highest-ranked business degree in Dubai. All while gaining specialised skills in economic decision-making. Exploring some of the biggest issues of our modern world, the course will give you a broad knowledge of business management, along with transferable skills that will help you apply your learnings in new and challenging contexts.
First, you’ll study a Foundation Year, introducing you to key areas of business management and economics. In your second year, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of responsible decision-making in business. Building on these principles in Years 2 and 3, you’ll choose to specialise in either Microeconomic Theory or Macroeconomic Theory.
Module themes covered include Principles of Economics, Mathematics for Economics, Human Resource Management, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics.
Year 3 will see you complete a dissertation, investigating an area of personal interest in business and economics.

Business Management with Finance BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
This course will give you specialised skills in finance and financial management. It will also give you a good knowledge of business management, so you can develop a better understanding of emerging markets.
In Year 1, you’ll study all the key themes of the subject. Then Year 2 will give you a deeper understanding of business management, finance and relevant research. Year 3 features more advanced modules, where you’ll specialise in a chosen area, while growing your overall knowledge.
Module themes include Financial Accounting and Accountability, Numeracy, Statistical Analysis and Financial Literacy, Corporate Finance and Financial Markets and Institutions. In your third year, you’ll complete a dissertation, investigating an area of personal interest in business and economics.

Business Management with Marketing BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
Become a marketer of the future in challenging, exciting new ways. Our Business Management with Marketing degree has been designed in partnership with global marketing companies, getting you ready to shape the business world.
With a broad knowledge of business management and marketing, you’ll also develop the intellectual and transferable skills that will make you highly sought after. Building in-demand specialist marketing knowledge, you’ll study subjects such as consumer behaviour, how online data drives organisational strategy and the growing trend of ethical consumption.
In Year 1, we’ll introduce you to the key areas of business and the principles of marketing. You’ll study subjects such as management, marketing, entrepreneurship, economics, finance, law, purchasing, accounting, analytical techniques and IT for business.
In your second and third years, you’ll build your degree based on your interests and career ambitions. We’re constantly updating our range of modules to reflect the ever changing world of business, so you’ll have a wide choice of career options when you graduate.
Business Management with Marketing with Industrial Placement BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
On our degree with Industry Placement, you’ll study Business Management with Marketing, all while gaining practical industry experience. Making valuable industry connections, it’s a great way to develop your employable skills well before you graduate.
As part of the course, you’ll complete two work placements in Dubai or your home nation (subject to obtaining the relevant permissions). This takes place at the end of your first and second years between June and September. Each placement lasts 3.5 months.
In the second year of study, you can spend an exchange year on our home campus in Birmingham (subject to academic attainment). If you choose this option, you may then experience a work placement in the UK.
Our academic modules will make sure you’re fully prepared for the workplace. Year in Industry students have completed placements at leading global companies such as Ferrari, Jaguar Land Rover, GSK, IBM, Hilton, L’Oreal, Mondelez, Renault and TJX. Marketing placements are varied, but include roles in digital marketing, events management, internal communications, marketing measurement and product marketing.
Your placement is your chance to apply everything you’ve studied. You’ll also make an impact on active projects, getting an early taste of your marketing career.
Business Management with Psychology BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
Gain specialised skills in psychology, while developing your intellectual, analytical and communication skills. Giving you a varied knowledge of business management, this degree offers the perfect blend for the modern workplace.
In your first year, you’ll study all the key business management themes, along with two Psychology modules. Developing a deeper understanding of responsible business in Year 2, you’ll also dive into research, with modules becoming more focused and specialised. Our Year 3 modules are even more advanced. Business Management with Year in Industrial Placement BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
Based on our BSc (Hons) Business Management degree, this course will see you studying areas directly related to business. Completing two industry placements, you’ll put all your academic knowledge into practice.
Across your first and second years, you’ll complete two work placements in Dubai or your home country. With both lasting 3.5 months between June and September, the first will be assessed through reflective assignments. In your second year placement, you’ll be assessed through a report. If you choose to take the exchange study year, your second placement can be in the UK.
Economics BSc (Hons) – 3 years
What will you study?
Learn through theory and practical training, developing the skills to tackle a wide range of issues facing society and the economy. Our Economics degree is an intellectually challenging area that builds important skills. Using maths and statistics to analyse economic data, you’ll learn to forecast what might happen in the future. You’ll also gain wider transferable skills, making you a highly sought-after graduate with a major advantage in the job market.
Module themes include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Financial Markets and Institutions, plus International Trade Theory and Policy.

Integrated Foundation Year for undergraduate Business Programmes – 4 years
What will you study?
Our four-year undergraduate programme includes an Integrated Foundation Year, which you may need to take depending on your previous studies.
As part of the Foundation Year, you’ll study modules including Business and the Market, plus Quantitative Methods for Business and the Market. With optional modules in Law, Psychology (‘social’) and Biology, you’ll have a solid foundation to build on. We’ll also support you with English Language and Study Skills, so that you’re ready for undergraduate life and fully immersed in our University community.
