Recognition for your degree
Realise your full potential and further your career. The University of Birmingham Dubai has been granted Initial Institutional Licensure by the UAE’s Ministry of Education through the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). This recognises the quality of our educational experience, as we stretch and challenge our students to achieve more.
We’re proud to support the UAE. As its knowledge-based economy continues to grow, it boasts a higher education system where students know their qualifications are highly valued and recognised across the globe.
Located in the Emirate of Dubai, our University continues to be licensed to operate in Dubai Licensure by the Dubai Government through the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
In line with their custodianship of the quality of higher education for the Emirate of Dubai, the KHDA will continue to assess the initial approval of all of our programmes, making sure they offer quality, value and relevance to students in Dubai.
What does this mean for you?
- Study on a three-year undergraduate degree. We’re currently the only global top 100 British University licensed by the Ministry of Education in the UAE to offer these UK degrees for direct entry to eligible students. This means you can upgrade your skills and change your world sooner.
- Work in government. Our degree certificates can be attested by the Ministry of Education, meaning our graduates can work in government jobs across the Gulf region.
- Entry requirement standards. Set at the same level as our UK campus, you can be assured of the highest academic quality.
'We are honoured to be awarded Initial Institutional Licensure by the CAA – a strong endorsement of the University of Birmingham Dubai that further underlines the quality and status of our education programmes. This recognition from the Ministry of Education signals to prospective students and their families that we represent the best route to a first-class education from an elite British university that will see them graduate as high-achieving and employable problem solvers.'
